Born Manuel Enrique Urrego on a cattle ranch in rural Colombia. When he was 8 he moved with his recently widowed mother to Queens, New York City, where he attended high school. He attended Arizona State University where he majored in theater and dance. While there he worked on the remake of A Star is Born directed by Jon Peters and The Other Side of the Wind, Orson Wells' final picture. Danced ballet professionally for 9 years including stints at the Arizona Ballet Theater and The Stars of American Ballet. He returned to film and TV in 1995, studying under Milton Katselas for 11 years at the Beverly Hill Playhouse. In 2019 he launched thestudio, an LA based scene study acting school. Has 3 children and resides in Los Angeles.
